The 8 points agreement between Damascus & sdf

 This is the English translation of the March 10 (8) points agreement between Syrian president Ahmad al-Sharaa and SDF leader Mazloum abdi:

Based on a meeting held between President Ahmad Al-Shara and Mr. Mazloum Abdi on Monday, March 10, 2020, the following agreement was reached:

1. Guarantee the rights of all Syrians to representation and participation in the political process and in all state institutions based on merit, regardless of religious or ethnic background.

2. The Kurdish community is a genuine part of the Syrian state, and the Syrian state guarantees its citizenship rights and all constitutional entitlements.

3. Ceasefire across all Syrian territory.

4. Integration of all civil and military institutions in northeastern Syria under the administration of the Syrian state, including border crossings, the airport, and oil and gas fields.

5. Ensure the return of all displaced Syrians to their homeland and safeguard them with protection from the Syrian state.

6. Support the Syrian state in its fight against remnants of Assad and all threats that jeopardize its security and unity. 

7. Rejection of calls for division, hate speech, and attempts to incite discord among all components of Syrian society.  

8. Executive committees shall work and strive to implement the agreement no later than the end of the current year.
