  Eine Reihe syrischer Flüchtlinge in europäischen Ländern – insbesondere in Deutschland – hat den Wunsch geäußert, ihren Rechtsstatus zu klären und nach Syrien zurückzukehren. On June 26, Syrian Interior Minister Anas Khattab announced a reduction in the fees for issuing or renewing passports or travel documents for Syrians and those with equivalent status, both abroad and inside Syria. According to the decision, passport fees for Syrians abroad were reduced as follows: Express service: from $800 to $400 Regular service: from $300 to $200 Inside Syria, the passport fee was reduced: From 2 million to 1.6 million Syrian pounds It’s noted that Syrian passport fees were among the highest globally for one of the world's least powerful passports.   خفض وزير الداخلية السوري أنس خطاب أمس 26 حزيران رسوم منح أو تجديد جواز أو وثيقة سفر السوريين ومن في حكمهم في الخارج و الداخل. وحسب القرار انخفضت رسوم جواز من هم خارج القطر:  الفوري من 800 دولار إلى 400 دولار، والعادي من 300 دولار إلى 200 دولار. رسوم الجواز داخل القطر: مليون وستمئة ألف بدل مليوني ليرة سورية. يُذكر أن رسوم استخراج جواز السفر السوري كانت بين الأعلى عالميًا لأحد اسوأ الجوازت، وأصبحت أحد أهم مصادر تمويل نظام الأسد الساقط بالقطع اجنبي، إضافةً لكونها أحد أهم أسباب معاناة المغتربين في الخارج والراغبين في السفر في الداخل. مؤمن السوادي

European sanctions targeted three former officers of the Republican Guard and Armed Forces — Miqdad Fatiha, Ghaith Dalla, and Suhayl al-Hasan — for their involvement in torture, extrajudicial executions, and forming militias after the fall of the regime that contributed to escalating tensions and the deaths of hundreds of civilians. Syrian President Ahmed Shar’a announced today a 200% increase in salaries and pensions for public sector employees and retirees, starting July. The minimum wage will rise to 750,000 Syrian pounds.** Under Presidential Decree No. 102 of 2025, the 200% raise applies to all civilian and military workers in ministries, government agencies, public institutions, state-owned enterprises, and administrative units — as well as joint ventures in which the state holds at least a 50% stake. The finance minister has been tasked with issuing executive regulations and preparing the necessary legal instruments.   The Syrian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the bombing at Mar Elias Church in the Dweilaa district of Damascus has risen to 22 dead and 59 wounded. The Ministry of Interior blamed ISIS for the attack, stating that an individual opened fire inside the church this evening before detonating himself, causing multiple casualties. The ministry confirmed it had deployed security forces and launched an investigation. It also said that international envoys and diplomatic representatives were barred from visiting the site until the area is secured and evidence preserved.
